The Plaza is a non-smoking hotel.

For the comfort of all our guests staying at The Plaza, please refrain from smoking in your guestroom or any public space within the building. Smoking is permitted outside.

We are a non-smoking hotel and we would like to advise you of a smoking fee that will be applied to your account at a minimum of $1500 USD within seven days of your departure date. Additional fees may apply if extensive cleaning is necessary.

Despite Kevin McCallister’s famous cannonball, The Plaza does not currently house a swimming pool. The Plaza does offer an array of other relaxing experiences, however, including beautifying and detoxifying services from Guerlain Spa located on the fourth floor.  

Yes, as the first hotel in New York to permit pets, The Plaza welcomes your furry friends through its participation in Fairmont’s Canine Companions program. Read more about that here. 

While a portion of The Plaza has been converted to residential units, we currently house 282 spacious and classically elegant guest rooms and suites. 

While reservations are always recommended to ensure prompt accommodations, they are not required should availability permit.

Check-In time is 3:00pm and check-out is at 12:00pm. It is recommended that you notify our reservations team of your expected arrival time. Though we cannot guarantee early check-in, we will do our best to accommodate you as best we can. 

The Plaza Hotel is located at 768 Fifth Avenue, on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Central Park South, Manhattan’s most luxurious address. 

The Plaza Hotel is located at the center of it all. Steps from an array of the most famous shopping destinations in the world like Bergdorf Goodman, The Plaza’s address is as convenient as it is luxurious. Other nearby attractions include: Columbus Circle, Central Park, Central Park Zoo, Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, Museum of Modern Art, and Lincoln Center.
